Engine

The new Subaru Impreza offers two capable BOXER® engine options depending on your trim. The Sport trim runs a 2.0-liter DOHC engine producing 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, paired with a Lineartronic® CVT for smooth, efficient daily driving. Step up to the RS and you get a 2.5-liter DOHC engine with 180 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque — a meaningful upgrade for Colorado drivers who want more confidence on mountain passes. Both trims include Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-DRIVE®) and deliver up to 33 MPG on the highway.

Performance

Standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive sets the new Subaru Impreza apart from nearly every competitor in its class. Active Torque Vectoring enhances cornering precision, while Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) keeps you planted in slick conditions. The 4-wheel independent suspension absorbs the rough stuff — whether that's a Glenwood Canyon switchback or an unpaved forest road. LED Steering Responsive Headlights automatically pivot with your steering input, improving visibility exactly where you need it.

Exterior

The 2026 Subaru Impreza carries a sharp, purposeful design with sleek lines, a bold front grille, and LED Steering Responsive Headlights with LED fog lights on both trims. Both Sport and RS ride on 18x7.5-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 225/40 R18 all-season tires. The RS adds Crystal Black Silica-finish mirrors and an available All-Weather Package with heated mirrors and windshield wiper de-icer — practical upgrades that make a real difference at elevation.

Interior Design

Inside, the new Subaru Impreza is designed around the driver. The Sport trim features Sport Cloth upholstery with red contrast stitching and a clean, functional layout. The RS steps it up with RS Cloth upholstery with red accents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum alloy pedal covers, and illuminated vanity mirrors. Both trims offer 60/40 split-folding rear seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. The RS also adds a retractable cargo area cover — a small detail that goes a long way when you're hauling gear.

Safety

Subaru's EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology is standard on both trims of the new Subaru Impreza, delivering pre-collision braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist. High Beam Assist activates automatically so you always have the right visibility without thinking about it. The RS adds Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist, Emergency Lane Keep Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert for a more complete safety suite.
