Technology Features in the 2017 Subaru Forester

The 2018 Subaru Forester offers innovative technologies and interior creature comforts. Read on to see these new systems and how they work, including STARLINK multimedia, a power rear gate, and luxury interior comforts that make for a much more enjoyable automotive experience.

SUBARU STARLINK^™ Multimedia

The STARLINK^™ multimedia system connects the Forester to news, weather, music, navigation, and much more. With pairing capabilities and hands-free smartphone functionality, you can easily access your device's content while keeping both hands securely on the wheel. You'll have easy access to SiriusXM All Access Radio, Pandora, Aha, and plenty of new STARLINK^™ apps from Subaru.

Power Rear Gate

The power rear gate allows you to open and close the rear of the vehicle with a push-button control on your key fob, by controls on the dashboard, or on the gate itself. To make your life easier, you can also adjust the opening height of the gate. This feature is especially useful for when you're in confined spaces and where overhead space is not available.

Luxury Comforts

Luxury comforts like a heated steering wheel, memory seating, and more keep you and your passengers comfortable when you're on the move. The available 10-way adjustable driver's seat also includes a two-position memory function. You can take advantage of the heated steering wheel feature on the 2.5i Touring and 2.0XT Touring models.

Premium Audio

With an available premium audio system, you'll be able to enjoy your favorite tunes in a crystal-clear listening environment. The Forester offers an audio system with 8 speakers and a 440-watt-equivalent amp and a 7-inch high-resolution touch screen. This Harman Kardon system goes well with SiriusXM All Access Radio.
