    Dealer Notes

2005 Jeep Wrangler 2dr Rubicon â€" Power Tech 4L I-6 regular unleaded engine with 190HP, 6-speed manual transmission. This Rubicon pairs a naturally smooth inline-six with a six-speed stick to deliver strong low-end torque and an engaging, hands-on driving feel; expect fuel economy typical of mid-2000s six-cylinder utility vehicles while enjoying the open-air freedom and trail-ready DNA Jeep is known for.

Cloth seat upholstery offers a breathable, comfortable surface that stays pleasant across temperature swings and long days behind the wheel.

A driver seat with 4-way directional controls helps you find a supportive position quickly, reducing fatigue on long highway runs or technical trail sections.

The front passenger’s 4-way adjustability keeps companions comfortable and better able to settle in for extended trips or bumpy off-road stretches.

The manual convertible roof keeps the open-top experience straightforward and reliableâ€"easy to remove or stow when you want more fresh air and sunlight.

Full 4-wheel drive supplies power to all four wheels for added grip in rain, snow, mud, and rough terrain, improving confidence when conditions get challenging.

Part-time 4-wheel/all-wheel drive lets you call on extra traction only when it’s needed, preserving on-road manners and fuel use during regular driving.

The inline six-cylinder layout delivers smooth, linear power and a composed demeanor that aids comfortable cruising and steady low-rpm pull for off-road moves.

An OHV pushrod design concentrates torque lower in the rev range, making the Jeep feel punchy from a stop and easier to maneuver on steep or technical terrain.

Sequential multi-point electronic fuel injection sharpens throttle response, improves cold starts, and helps the engine run more efficiently under varied conditions.

Mechanical ignition keeps the powertrain straightforward and easier to diagnose or service, appealing to owners who favor simple, hands-on maintenance.

The removable soft top expands how you use the Wranglerâ€"quickly switch between covered comfort and full open-air motoring to suit the day’s weather or mood.

Front fog lights extend useful illumination in low-contrast conditions, helping you see the road and other vehicles more clearly when haze or fog reduces normal headlamp effectiveness.

Overall, this 2005 Jeep Wrangler 2dr Rubicon emphasizes straightforward capability and driver involvement: durable mechanicals, a torquey inline-six, a satisfying six-speed manual, and easy open-top access. It’s right for buyers who value trail-ready traction, simple upkeep, and the timeless Jeep experienceâ€"capable of daily driving, weekend adventures, and off-road outings with a rewarding, hands-on character.

The 99 Jeep with the 4.0 will get close to 500,000 miles if maintained . These engines are the best that Jeep ever produced. They are bulletproof

I bought my chili pepper-red, '98 Wrangler Sport in Nov. of 1997 and it has 117,000 miles on it (I take public transportation to work and it's garaged the majority of the time). I've had zero problems with it all these years. The 4.0 engine is one of the most highly rated engines ever built. I've replaced the clutch and muffler once and am on my 3rd soft top (so easy to replace on your own). I have the top down all summer with just a bikini top over the cab. What a fun ride! It's easy to customize even older Wranglers thanks to the many after-marked outfitters. It still looks brand new.
